Description

When you play Minecraft for the first time, you’ll meet zombies fairly quickly and some folks decided to make that the whole danger in Trap Craft. A group of colorfully dressed crafters are all hanging out when a mysterious figure appears on the TV and offers them a deal: Defend a mystical portal from a zombie attack and you’ll get whatever you wish. All the crafters jump at this opportunity to make their dreams come true and start planning out their defenses while positioning themselves on the frontlines. These zombies may come in waves and that’s why you’ve got to turn the tides.

About Trap Craft

The tower-defense genre has been around for a long time back to the early days of the internet and they don’t have to be overly complex. This game sticks to tradition but also for the 3D third-person perspective. It creates a solid scenario with layouts that seem easy to work with, but you quickly realize just how little resources you have. You have to start being creative with your money and arsenal early on otherwise most of the zombie-repelling duties will fall on you. At least you’ll have some good weapons and magic skills to give you a fighting chance.

How to Play

Trap Craft is a 3D tower-defense game set in a Minecraft universe where you need to defend a portal from zombies using the mouse and keyboard.

Controls

• W/Up Arrow – Move Forward
• S/Down Arrow – Move Back
• A/Left Arrow – Move Left
• D/Right Arrow – Move Right

The trap and attacking UI will be visible on-screen with big items depicting the associated items. To place a trap, click on it with the Left Mouse Button and then drag it to the open spot on the floor or wall where you want to place it. To attack, click on a weapon to equip it, then click the attack or magic icons on the right to use it. Your portal condition, health, and mana will be shown on the left side. Mana regenerates over time, but if the portal condition or your health drops to zero, you’ll need to restart the level.

After you choose your character, you’ll start the level. The portal will be placed behind you and the doors where the zombies will emerge will be on the other side. Before the wave begins, you can place as many traps in the area as you have money. Once you’re satisfied, start the wave and aim to eliminate all the zombies. Traps can damage zombies or affect their movement. When they get close to you, they will target you and start to attack. You’ll sometimes be given defenders that will automatically attack zombies once they get in range. Clear all of the waves to beat the level, move on, and earn Mutagen.

Tips and Tricks

The trick with tower-defense games is to create concentrated points. It’s better to have spots where multiple traps coincide than to have individual traps spread far from each other. The more hits zombies take at once, the easier you can pick them off with attacks and magic.
