If you’re online, it’s nearly impossible to escape the flood of memes you’ll encounter and some have turned them into games, like in the Dogeminer series. Yes, the famous Shhiba Inu who became popular due to their expressions and moniker of “Doge” has their own line of games for you to play. This is an idle affair as you try to get your paws on as many coins as possible. The more coins you get, the more resources you can afford to get even more cash. This may be a game that goes on forever but it’s at least an activity to keep you busy with constant ways to expand.
The sequel to the original Dogeminer seems to have done what the sequel usually does: Keep the core the same but change some of the elements around it. There are some familiar graphics to cling to with a gallery of new assets to appreciate and add to your mining operation. Whether you’re active or idle, the collection of silly realistic meme graphics can be an amusing sight to peek at every now and then. You might be tempted to try your hand at actual coin mining but it’s nowhere near as easy or silly as this game makes it seem.
Dogeminer 2 is a game made to play itself once you get the right elements set up. It’s all controlled with the mouse and keyboard with minimal buttons to master.
The goal of the game is to mine a currency known as Dogecoin. The reason Shiba Inu is mining these coins is in order to fund a rocket to go to the moon. The game starts with the lead doge mining a constantly respawning piece of rock. By clicking it or tapping, the doge will mine it producing coins with every swing. As you earn more coins, you can use them to buy elements to aid your mining operations. On the right side is both the Shop and Upgrade Menus. The former lets you pay workers and facilities to mine coins for you, while the latter lets you improve their performance. Once you can afford the rocket, you can head to the Moon to start mining operations there.
It may be tempting to spend coins as soon as you get them but you might want to hold off for a little bit. The main miner is the highest coin earner you have and they’re dependent on your input. Mash that mining button to build a nice reserve and then go on a spending spree. Also, collect the coin piles as they appear since they will disappear after a few seconds.
While playing the game, you’ll come across a number of different items that all have special purposes.
As it currently stands, the game is free-to-play online and even uses a cloud-save feature so that you can maintain your progress by setting up an account.
Yes, the game is accessible via a web browser and has been adapted to work well on your mobile device.
Based on the mechanics of the game, it’s placed into the Clicker and Idle Games categories on GamePix. You can also find in those selections Geometry Jump, Hunter Assassin, Idle Miner, and Rails And Stations.
