When ragdoll physics came into play, video games became much more hilarious, and titles like Body Drop 3D base their whole gameplay around it. The main character appears to be a crash test dummy who is ready to take any test like a champ. They will place themselves on a number of different levels with various obstacles and structures in which to interact. Unfortunately for the dummy, how they interact with the world around them is up to you and they’re not a crash test dummy for no reason. You get to test just how resilient they are as they get back up time and time again.
While crash test dummies may have disappeared from much of the media in recent years, they’re still quite popular in video games. Considering that their job is to endure dangerous situations which can include impact, they serve a very useful purpose in providing an outlet for frustration. The dummy will get back up as many times as you need them to be ready to take on your punishment like a champ. It’s easy to get carried away with the scenarios and you can earn points quickly to unlock new ones and see just how creative you can be with your aim.
Body Drop 3D is a ragdoll game where you are using tools to interact with the crash test dummy. The controls are all connected to the mouse and you’ll get the hang of it quickly.
Each level has the dummy standing at a certain starting point, and you can throw balls at them to make them fall. You only get three balls with the goal being to use them to cause the dummy to fall in such a way that they take max damage. You can see the amount of damage you’re doing on the dummy diagram to the left of the screen. As areas become more damaged, they’ll become more red. If bones break, they’ll appear in relevant read body parts. The goal is to break as many bones as possible to earn points.
Despite the ragdoll nature of the game, there is a degree of strategy to it. You only get three balls to shoot and the dummy is sturdier than they may seem. As such, you should aim the balls at their head or legs to have the best chance to make them lose their balance. Scan the surroundings so that you can aim to have the dummy fall as far as possible while hitting as many obstacles on the way down.
Though Body Drop 3D is literally about causing a body to drop down, body drop also refers to a Judo technique used to throw an opponent so they end up on their back.
Despite the slow pace of this game, you can find it connected to Action games on GamePix. These categories will show you games like Funny Battle Simulator 2, Dynamons World, Flipper Basketball, and Snowfight.
