Many things puzzle us, and we never know when the next solution will present itself, so we’ve got to figure it out ourselves, like in 10×10. At some point or another, everything comes back to math, arguably the purest form of science.
Knowing even a little bit of math can help you in unexpected ways, like solving puzzles. Tetris may have been about blocks, but it was also about geometry and angles, which are mathematical. Here’s another puzzling scenario where you have a bit more time to think, but that also means you need to be more creative with your answers.
Video games could not exist without math, which is why so many games base their entire premise around numbers.
While this game may not be super number-heavy, math is involved, and you’ll figure that out soon enough. You need to think about all the spaces and your available blocks and plan so that you can keep playing.
The answer won’t always be clear and you need to determine the best course of action now and in the future. It all comes down to problem-solving and thinking carefully about the data.
10×10 is a 2D puzzle game about slotting different arrangements of blocks into a 10 by 10 grid using the mouse. To move blocks into place, select them from the bottom of the screen, click and hold the Left Mouse Button, and then drag them onto the grid. If they fit, they’ll slot right into the space. The goal is to get the highest score possible by completing columns and rows of 10 blocks.
This is a more contained and slower-paced form of Tetris which means you have no pressure to rush through. The blocks you may get are random, but your arrangements should always try to take up the least amount of space. Start at the edges and keep the center clear for as long as you can.
This is a game that’s all about trying to keep it going for as long as possible so the game only ends when you can’t make any more moves.
